Bath Blossom Foot Scrub Brush review

Disclosure: I received the scrub brush for a reduced price for my unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my own! I recently reviewed the Bath Blossom Foot Scrub Brush.
In the pics enclosed, you won't see any soap or running shower 🚿 water! I draw the line at taking pics while I shower!  I love using bath products of all kinds, especially those that I can use in the shower. My feet don't always get the special attention that they need sometimes. I do was them well every day, don't get me  wrong! Anyhow, this brush is indeed a massaging and scrubbing foot brush! It was quite comfortable to use, and easy to rinse after using. I put some liquid bath soap on it, and foamed it up as I scrubbed my feet. It almost borderline tickled them!  What a way to start my work night or day off in the shower.  It is large enough for women, men, and children to use! It rinses easily and hangs up to dry with a suction cup hook. There are suction cups on the bottom of the foot scrub brush. I really like it a lot! Bath Blossom Foot Scrub Brush

Laila London Beauty Box Review

Disclosure: I received the beauty box for a discount for my unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my own. I love trying beauty products! I recently was given the opportunity to review the Laila London Beauty Box. It's made up of 100% natural organic skincare and oral hygiene products. They make them in small batches. I received the following items in my beauty box: Pink Clay Mask with Rice Enzyme, a brush(to apply the mask with!), Rose Coconut Lip Butter, Replenishing Midnight Facial Oil, and a small cotton bag all the beauty products in it! The Rose Coconut lip butter smells oh so lovely, and helped to keep my lips soft. It contained shea butter, coconut oil, and rose. There wasn't a taste to it, but it did smooth on very easily with a fingertip!

The Pure Pink Clay Mask was great to use. I applied it with the lovely brush, after mixing the clan mask powder with oil. I let it dry, then removed it with a clean moist cloth. If you have sensitive skin, you will want to remove the mask a bit earlier, prior to it drying. It helps to reduce pores, and detoxify and brighten the facial skin. The ingredients in the mask are 100% organic and natural. It's a exfoliator type of mask, and it can be used 2-3 times per week. The Replenishing Midnight Facial Oil can be used on all skin types. It contains ingredients that help to combat the daily effects of our environment and can moisturize the skin. It smells great, and my skin felt softer and smoother!I really enjoyed using these products and loved how they smelled. For further information, you can check them out: Laila London

V-Blade Mandoline Slicer Review

Disclosure: I received the mandoline and accessories for a reduced price for my unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my own.

I recently reviewed the Grocery Arts brand V-Blade Mandoline Slicer and a pair of cut-resistant gloves, along with the accessories for the mandoline.  The mandoline comes with 5  interchangeable blades and a holder for 4 of them,  the blade guard, a food holder, and the cut-resistant gloves in size large. You can make thin slices, medium slices, thin julienne, medium julienne, thick julienne, and cubes! I liked that the mandoline slicer was made out of 18/8 stainless steel! The items were all hand washable in warm or cold water.

I opted to make home fries with the mandoline, and I used the medium slices blade for slicing. I can remember using a mandoline with my mother when I was slicing potatoes for her. Unfortunately, I did slice my fingers a few times back then! This time, I was able to make the home fries for my husband and me, and be safe! They turned out quite well, and I was well pleased with how easy it was to use the mandoline! I definitely would recommend it! For more information, check it out at:

Foot Compression Braces (review)

Disclosure: I received the foot compression braces and the orthotic heel cushions for a reduced price for my unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my own.

I received a pair of foot compression braces and a  pair of orthotic heel cushions for my review. I have worn orthotics since 2011 in my work and everyday sneakers.  The foot compression brace contain these acupuncture and massage pressure points medical grade silicon to aid and help with inflammation and circulation. The pressure points were a bit strong for me at times. They are adjustable with the Velcro strap around them. I'm not sure it's because the strap was right under the tongue of my work sneakers, or if my feet were a bit sensitive to the pressure points on the brace! If you are wondering, I did take my orthotics out of my sneakers for awhile, so that I could review these two items in my shoes.

The orthotic heel cushions... I would have liked for them to have had a bit more gel substance to them! The heel cushions can help with a wide range of foot issues that require comfort!! Heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, sore feet, to name just a few. They can help reduce the shock and strain of standing on your feet! They help me quite a bit! I do recommend them!

For more information, go to :  Foot Compression Braces    They come in a small package, and are very easy to use!!

Review of the Antimicrobial 6-setting Rain Handshower by AquaDance with Microban (Blue)

Disclosure: I received the product for a reduced price to facilitate my unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my family's.

Steve likes a basic everyday setting on a shower. He also likes for the showerhead to reach high enough so that he's not standing in the very back of the shower to rinse his hair due to his height (he's 6 foot!) It was possible with the way that this hand shower mounted in the shower! Steven likes how different shower sprays can help his back aches and pains feel better, and sometimes help him to relax. I'm not sure if son's used the hand held aspect of the rain hand shower yet.  For me, I like the choices of sprays, depending on how my fibromyalgia or neck and back pain is feeling. I also like the handheld part, since it can help me rinse the shower after I clean it! The 6 settings are the following : Power Rain, Pulsating Massage, Gentle Mist, Rain/Massage, Rain/Mist, and Water-Saving On-Off/Pause.

The Microban aspect of the rain handshower has to do with the antimicrobial part of the showerhead in the anti-clog nozzles. I know that my family doesn't want to be sprayed with bacteria when we shower!  If you rub the jets when you clean your shower, you can help to keep the jets clear of  deposits (like minerals) in your water. You have a choice of blue, purple, or aqua colored jets. I chose the blue ones for us, since the guys wouldn't decide!   I know that we've been quite pleased with the product, and I would seriously recommend it!

"The Lonely Pumpkin" by Nicole Monroe

Disclosure: I received this book for free in exchange for my unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my own!

I really enjoy sharing about children's books that have an important message about them. "The Lonely Pumpkin" is one of those books for youth: the kind of book that when you read it, you learn something! There was a pumpkin who was what most would consider unattractive, he was dirty and had bumps on him. People were buying other pumpkins in the patch, and he was being ignored.  He was waiting for a child who would come and take care of him. He got sad when the others were bought and taken home with people.

I don't want to give the ending away! It is a great book, and is an easy read for the young ones. This book teaches children that we are not alone, and there is someone who loves us just the way that we are. What a great message!  Nicole Monroe wrote the book, and it has lovely illustrations in it.

Maximum Security Workout---I just had to share this!

Son and I got addicted to The Tenderloins, aka Impractical Jokers, humor back a few months ago when we went to a pub-style restaurant in Orlando. TruTV was on a few screens in the restaurant, but the sound was turned off. The sad thing is, even though we couldn't hear them, we could tell from what was going on in the scenes that it was hilarious! "Impractical Jokers" is one of my favorite shows, and when I want a good belly laugh I watch them! It may be sophomoric humor at times, but I love it! This clip for YouTube is from 2006! Sal's my fave!

Night ProVision Rear Bike Light (Review)

Disclosure: I received the bike light for a reduced price or for free for my unbiased review. The opinions expressed are my own.

Steven used to ride his bike ALOT before he began to drive. He would take it to karate and back and to wherever we needed him to run an errand, besides his afternoon bike rides after school for exercise. Karate classes were at night, and so he needed to used a bike light on the rear of his bike so that he would be noticed and not ignored by car drivers.
The Night ProVision USB Rechargeable bike light is a very handy one! It includes a USB cable and an elastic mounting band.  I had a hard time attaching it to Steven's seat post in the You Tube video, so I attached it to one of the lower posts on his bike. It can be positioned vertically or horizontally. (My cruising bike needs to have the tires re-seated by Steve, so it wasn't tested on my bike. Once he fixes my bike, the bike light will be on mine.)  The power button is what you push to go through the strength of the beam, and it's what you push to go through the flashing mode levels, too. It has a battery indicator light on it to tell you your battery level. Charging it is easy, with an enclosed USB cable that you can plug into a wall charger. The rubber seal to the USB area came off awhile back, and I think that it got lost somewhere in the house! During a standard beam usage, the run time for the battery is a bit over 6 hours.  We really liked the light!

Dr. Magnum 3LED Hand-held Magnifier

Disclosure: I received a handheld magnifier for free for my unbiased review. The opinions expressed in this review are mine!

I used to think that I would be older than I am now when I used a hand-held magnifier to read or look at things! I thought that they were for people my parents' age, well, I should say people in their 80's, since my parents are no longer around.  Now, I'm fast approaching 55 in a few weeks, and there are some things that I need a bit more magnification for that the ole progressive lens in my glasses can't help with! The best example that I can give you at the moment is when I look at a pattern for counted cross stitch, and I have to figure out what stitch goes where. If I am using one of the higher count, 22-count or higher, the little spaces get harder to see on the fabric! I used to use a magnifying glass that hung around my neck, but it got very annoying after awhile. I can use the handheld one from Dr. Magnum, and then set it down beside me until I need it again.

The handheld magnifying glass has 3LED lighting, and has two separate magnifying areas on it. Larger one  for 45x is on the end, and the smaller one for 3x is closer to the handle. The lighting from the magnifier really helps with visualization! You can use the magnifying glass for working with jewelry, stamps, coins, reading the newspaper, looking at medication, using a map, in the circuit board and pricing industry, and at home or in the office. There are so many uses for it, I'm sure that I haven't mentioned them all! I do recommend it! Dr. Magnum Handheld Magnifier

Natracure Arthritis Mittens (review)

Disclosure: I received a free set of mittens in order to facilitate my unbiased and honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.

To be honest... I received the arthritis mittens from Natracure when I was on leave for my Neurostimulator surgery in late '15. I have used them numerous times for my arthritis in my hands. They are heated up in the microwave for a time specified on the instructions that come with the mitts.  do not overheat them, because you can burn yourself! They use a combination of oils to work with the heat to help with the pain!  I really appreciate the effect that they have on the joints in my hands and fingers! I have more mobility in my hands and fingers after using them! I really recommend them! Natracure mittens

Memory Foam Cool Knee Pillow with Cooling Gels Pads (review)

Disclosure: I recently received the Memory Foam Knee Pillow with laminated cooling gel pad and washable cover for free for my unbiased and honest review. The opinions expressed are my own!

I will admit, at first, that I wasn't sure if I could sleep comfortably with a pillow between my knees.  I had tried a regular size pillow in the past under or between my knees  after arthroscopies of my knees and back surgeries to get comfortable on my sides, without success! I've got sciatica and restless legs. I found that the mats on the sides of the pillow helped with keeping it from getting warm between my knees. The memory foam part of the pillow was quite comfortable, and it didn't feel "squished" to me in anyway. Bridge To Bright Future made the pillow, and they recommended it for those who are post-op from hips and knee surgeries, during pregnancy, and for those with hip, ankle, knee, joint, and back pains. It was comfortable for me! I did notice that I tended to not wake up with it between my knees because I probably change position a lot in my sleep, and it ended up on the bed near my knees! The zippered cover can be removed and washed in cold water and air dry. There is a picture below of it before I went to sleep with it between my knees.
I do recommend this pillow!  For more information, you can check it out at :  Memory Foam Knee Pillow  .
