An update!

Hi! Just a quick note to let you all know that we've not been feeling well in our household in the past 1.5 weeks. Steven started late MLK day with vomiting really late that night. I took him to urgent care the next day, and he was running a fever by then. He had a few other symptoms that I can't remember, and he was tested for the flu. It was negative. He got diagnosed with food poisoning/the GI bug, and ended up on Zofran and an antibiotic. He had cooked his fish the night before, and he might not have cooked it long enough or something. He was out sick from school from Tuesday until Friday morning.
Saturday night I wasn't feeling great and by Sunday I felt like death warmed over. Sunday night, I started running low grade temps ranging from 100.7 and above.  Monday, I drove myself to the urgent care since there was no way on earth I was driving 20+ miles to the clinic in our doctors' group building in Melbourne! I probably would have passed out driving down there if I had! I tested positive for Influenza A, and got put on Tamiflu. Last evening, Steve started feeling crappy, and he went to bed extremely early for him, like 7pm. Today, he went into work and came home early, after he stopped by urgent care. Negative for flu, but had ear and sinus infections and was running a fever over 101.  And, on top of it all, Steven's back pain was flaring and he ended up staying home from school today.  I am a bit behind on posting again, due to feeling not well. Not good! The last few times that I had the flu, I had residual effects for weeks, but I didn't get Tamiflu either. The coughing and aches are what's getting me, along with the chest tightness.  I'll close this for now. Night!

Valentia True Glow Eye Cream (Review)

Disclosure: I received this product for free or reduced price in order to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed are my own.

I am not a smoker but I am getting older. The tiny fine lines and wrinkles are slowly trying to creep up around my eyes and other areas of my face. Today, for this product's review, I will be talking about
the eye area! I recently reviewed Valentia True Glow Eye Cream. Per the box's packaging, it is intense corrective eye treatment, and it helps lock in moisture, repair, and lighten skin fir a youthful looking glow around the eye area. Some of the important ingredients in Valentia's True Glow Eye Cream are the following Astanxanthin, Resistem, Vitamin C, Organic Rosehip Oil, and Arnica.
I knew that Arnica was anti-inflammatory, but I didn't know that it was part of the restorative process with the skin. The organic rosehip oil helps provide intense hydration to the eye tissue, to the fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin C, Resistem, and Astanxanthin each have their own parts in the antioxidant and illuminating process with the cream.

I applied it twice a day after I cleansed and dried my face, every morning and at bedtime. I was able to use one pump's worth for both eyes. I applied a few dots under each eye and patted the eye area gently until the cream was absorbed.  It did not leave the skin with a greasy feel to it! I noticed over time the eye area was less puffy and not dry at all. The dark circles were not as noticeable. I was also able to put my makeup on over the area where I had put the cream without any problems!

I hadn't patted the cream yet under my eyes! :O)

MatchaDNA Handheld Wireless Milk Frother (Review)

Disclosure: I was given free or reduced price product in order to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed are my own!

Have you wanted to make coffee shop style frothy coffee drinks at home? Or have hot cocoa with a whipped-type appearance to it? Well, you can, with a MatchaDNA handheld wireless milk frother!
The MatchaDNA frother is run by two "AA" batteries, and has an off/on switch on the side on it. The milk foamer/wire whisk at the end of it whips up warm milk or hot cocoa into a foam like you won't believe! The shaft and the whisk parts are made out of stainless steel, and the body is made of ABS plastic. You can hand wash the shaft and whisk parts with soap and warm water.

You can use it to make your own cappuccinos, lattes, and hot cocoa with light foam! The frother can be used in hot or cold drinks. Even a child could use it with supervision! It is so easy and fun to use. I used it in warm milk and made a latte at one time. Mixed my hot cocoa with the frother another time! For more information on the frother, you can check them out at MatchaDNA Handheld Wireless Milk Frother .

Triple-Strength Omega-3 Fish Oil Softgels (Review)

Disclosure: I was given information and free product in order to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed are mine and my husband's, since we both reviewed the softgels.

What do you think of when you hear Omega-3? Do you think of it supporting heart, joint, and cognitive health? I think of joint health when I hear someone talking about Omega-3.  The reason why I decided to review the Nutrigold Triple Strength Omega-3 Gold was that Omega-3 was one of the items that my rheumatologist had recommended that I take for anti-inflammatory effect for my fibromyalgia, if I can remember it correctly! She specifically wanted me to take the kind that was from cold-water fish!

Well, Nutrigold's fish oil manufacturing process involves catching fish in waters off of Alaska and those waters are cold and pristine! They also process them quickly on FDA inspected vessels and in Ohio. Then, they are encapsulated and distributed in the USA, so they are made in the USA!  I have a few more pieces of information to tell you about their Omega-3 product! They are verified free of GMOs, and free of soy and allergens. They are a certified sustainable source. Each 1,250 mg soft gel contains 85% Omega-3s with 1,000 mg EPA and 250 mg DHA. They were ranked #1 in "highest Quality" among 50 top-selling fish oil brands in the US. This ranking was by LabDoor, an independent lab, based on 180 analytical chemistry assays. The Omega-3 is not the only product that Nutrigold carries, they carry many other products at Nutrigold  and Nutrigold.

With vitamins and supplements, I seriously can't tell what they are doing in my body and if I am feeling any different from taking them! The Omega-3 supplement was about the size of a regular multivitamin, and were okay to swallow. We were pleased with them.

Green Coffee Bean Extract - Powerful Weight Loss Review

Disclosure: I received product for free in order to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed in the review are my own.

I received the Green Coffee Bean Extract supplement from Schwartz Bioresearch for review, to see if I'd lose some weight, during a crazy time in my life. (I received it after my father had gone up to my sister Karen's. I was busy working during that time, and I decided to give the review a "go".  I'm sorry that this review is posting later than I had planned to post it.) When I started taking the Green Coffee Bean Extract supplement, I noticed that my cravings were less, especially during my non-working hours. I was also trying to walk more around the building at work at night, and my uniforms were getting looser! If I can remember correctly, I lost about 8 pounds while I was taking it! I don't have any pics of me post-taking it, though. I didn't have any problem getting to sleep after taking the supplement.

Some information for you about the Green Coffee Bean Extract: it contains the amount of caffeine in a 1/2 cup of cappuccino. It contains 50% chlorogenic acid. Their product does not contain any fillers or binders or artificial ingredients. The capsules are 100% vegetarian. The capsules weren't difficult to swallow, and I didn't notice any aftertaste from them.

For more information, check them out at : Green Coffee Bean Extract and at Schwartz Bioresearch .

NEOSAN Women's and Men's Thick Knit Winter Infinity Scarf (Review)

Disclosure: I received product for a reduced fee in order to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed are my own.

As most of you may know, Florida tends to have warmer winters most of the time. As of today, January 1, 2016, it is still warm outside. But anyhow, I recently reviewed Neosan's Winter Infinity Scarf. Let me give you some information about their scarves first.  Women and men both can wear them! The crocheted ones, like what I reviewed, are 53" circumference by 11" wide, and come in 12 color choices. They can be doubled around the neck or left in one large loop.  You can even cover your head with it. I left mine in one loop in the pictures that my son took for me. I definitely agree with the scarf being thick knit! I would also add chunky and warm to describe them, too! It was 100% acrylic and needed to be hand washed.  (I did wash mine on a "hand wash" cycle in a delicate laundry bag in the washer, and dried it flat on a rack. It turned out nice!) Neosan also sells some Pashmina regular/twisted scarves, which measure 48" in circumference and are 12" wide. The Pashmina scarves come in several color choices.

I have several scarves in my collection, but none are as thick, warm, and soft as the Neosan is. It's comfortable and not scratchy at all! For colder winters that we get down here once in a blue moon, the chunkiness of this scarf will be great to keep me warm! If it was cold outside, I would probably do a double loop with it around my neck to stay warm. I really liked the reasonable prices for their scarves and the color choices for the two styles that they sold. I would recommend them! Check out Neosan Women's and Men's scarves for more information.
