Disclosure: I was given information and digital copy of the sound track from Relativity Music Group in order to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed are my own!

On March 4th, Relativity Music Group released the music from the DreamWorks Animation film, "Mr. Peabody & Sherman". (Barb's Note: Before I tell you anymore, I have got to say that this has been my most favorite movie soundtrack to review! I loved the music and the songs with words!)
Included in this soundtrack is an original score from from well-known composer Danny Elfman, who has been the mastermind behind television them songs and close to 50 film scores. One of John Lennon's songs "Beautiful Boy" is in the sound track, and I was surprised to hear it! Grizfolk has a song called "Way Back When" included in the soundtrack, and they went on an international tour with Bastille after the soundtrack was released. I had not heard of Grizfolk before "Mr Peabody & Sherman", but I did like the song.

Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

When you try throat drops do you want them to be tasting like medicine, or do you prefer something more palatable? If I'm given the choice, I'd prefer the more palatable throat drops! Well, Pine Bros Softish Throat drops fit the bill for what I want! I received Natural Honey and Wild Cherry. They also come in Black Licorice.  The information that I'm going to share with you starts with the Pine Bros  Softish Throat Drops history, which is really amazing!

This container is called a puck.

Their history started back in 1870 in Philadelphia when Herman Pine and his brother began to sell their first bath of 'Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets'. (Mr Pine had been a confectionery maker back in Germany.) In the process of trying to relief his own sore throat and those of his family members, he found that combining the soothing natural qualities of glycerin and the healing properties of gum acacia, he could soothe and lessen the effects of a mild sore throat. He didn't think that he'd make much money from it at the time. The recipe hasn't changed much since it was sold to the public more than 140 years ago! In the 1930's Pine Brothers was sold to the Life Savers Company. They continued to sell. The biggest sales were in the east and northern states where they had the very cold winters. They reached their peak in popularity in the 1970's. Life Savers sold them, and they were sold and bought a few more times. Changes were made to the recipe by others for cost-cutting purposes. At some point, Pine Brothers began to be made overseas and the sales declined. Not too long ago, Victoria Knight-McDowell, the creator and former owner of Airborne, acquired Pine Brothers for her new company 3 Sisters Home Products. Time was spent locating the old recipes, creating a new look, and redesigning the packaging. In the fall of 2011 Pine Brothers was launched nationally, and it was being made in America again!

Our son and I tried the two flavors that I received, and son preferred the Wild Cherry over the Natural Honey. I happen to like both!  They were soothing to our scratchy and somewhat dry throats! I carry one of the pucks in my purse (it's the round container that the lid screws on) and will refill it with some from one of the bags soon! They can be bought online and in stores nationwide, such as CVS, Rite-Aid, Kroger, to name a few. Try them the next time you have a sore throat.

Bravo's "Southern Charm" (Review)

Disclosure: No compensation was received. I'm posting this review of Southern Charm as a member of Sverve, and was given information from Bravo about the show.

Have you heard of the relatively new reality show on Bravo called "Southern Charm"? It takes place in Charleston, South Carolina, and it drips southern hospitality! It's on Monday nights from 10pm EST to 11pm EST. I watched it last night for the first time, and was tweeting about it with Sverve. I also dvr'd it to get the chance to watch it without others commenting during it, and I watched it again this morning. Today I was able to give my full attention to it and give it a fair review. (If I had based my review on the little bit that I was able to catch while tweeting, it wouldn't have been fair. )

There are 6 main characters in this show, and they are Thomas Ravenel, Craig Conover, Cameran Eubanks, Shepard "Shep" Rose, Whitney Sudler-Smith,  and Jenna King. Some of them left South Carolina, and came back after being successful or not, and one had a criminal history, Thomas. Anyhow... to talk about last night's episode. Thomas, also know as T-Rav, is 48 years old, and he's dating Kathryn, who's 21. She's old enough to be his daughter! They might be a great couple , if she would become a bit more mature. Thomas definitely needs to teach Kathryn how to make coffee!
The rest aren't super crazy about Kathryn due to her age, and due to that there was a pregnancy scare. Her mother wasn't worried about it, she just told her to take prenatal vitamins if she planned to get pregnant by Thomas! Some of the gang thought that Thomas' political career could be affected by Kathryn. The one character who I really didn't like was Whitney, I felt that he was a rich boy who didn't want to grow up, definitely the Peter Pan Syndrome! However, I did like the new home that Cameran was trying to sell him, very open spaces! I did feel that they all were quite cliquey!

I loved the aerial views of Charleston, and when the crew went out to the woods to go hunting. Would I watch it again? Yes, and I need to go back and catch up on the older episodes!

Long Time No Write!

Long time no write, well, on my part! I actually went through a blogging funk, where I just couldn't get creative writing juices going...
