"The Eleventh" (review)

Disclosure: I received information and the opportunity to view episodes of the show, along with a year's subscription, in order to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed are my own.

"The Eleventh", a new series on Feeln, has a very interesting cast! Many of you will recognize the names of some of them: Cloris Leachman (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Malcolm in the Middle), Christopher Atkins (Blue Lagoon), Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Roots, Up), Florence Henderson (The Brady Bunch, Dancing with the Stars), to name a few.  It starts out with a young woman showing up at Margaret's (Cloris Leachman) door in the first episode. The young lady proceeds to tell her that she's from Goodwill and that a letter was found in a book for her. Margaret opens the envelope, and there's a letter and a key in it. The key's familiar to Margaret, and she knows what it goes to ----a box that she had given her daughter. Margaret knows that the young woman is lying, because the Goodwill had closed awhile back. Janey, the young woman who is her granddaughter, drops off the box at her grandmother's house. Margaret finds a letter in it for Janey, and she delivers it to her. Janey's mother was Margaret's daughter, and she had died recently. Margaret had not been invited to the funeral. Janey's father (Christopher Atkins)  wanted to have nothing to do with Margaret, and did not want Janey to be in contact with her. Janey was going to be heading off to college soon.  She decided to get in touch with her grandmother and spend some time with her.

In the second episode, we find out that the daughter who had died had wanted her daughter and her mother to get to know each other. The father was still very much against the grandmother been involved in the granddaughter's life, since Margaret had not been there for them in the past. I don't want to give everything away about the series, because I really hope that you will want to scope it out and watch more! From the PR information, I will share with you what it says about the show: "The Eleventh" follows a young girl's journey to fulfill her mother's last wish - to get to know and reconcile with her estranged grandmother. This is a deeply touching series starring television's best. "
You never know, you may want to reconnect with family you haven't talked to in years!

I really enjoyed the two clips that I saw, and I honestly want to see more of this series! I'm already hooked on it! I love shows like this! I'm enclosing more information for you to check out about "The Eleventh"!
