Sun Detergent (Review and Giveaway) (ends 1/24/14, USA only)

Disclosure: I was given free product in order to facilitate a review. The opinions that are expressed in this review are mine and my family's.

Having a small family of 3 and 4 birds don't necessarily mean that I don't do much laundry! Our son Steven always seems to change clothes after he gets home from high school. My husband wears jeans and a t-shirt or polo shirt to work, and then he changes into shorts when he gets home. Me---well, I wear a uniform to work and end up in pj's or other clothes depending on if it's a day off or not. We cover our cages with sheets at night. So, if you include all of the above, along with our bed linens, towels at least twice a week, and other miscellaneous laundry, I do about 10+ loads a week. I have a HE washer, so I need a HE compatible laundry detergent! I was given the opportunity to try Sun Laundry Detergent, and I gave my husband's jeans the chance to put it to the test! He doesn't work outside, but in the course of a work day or a day off around the house, they get grubby. (I forgot to take a pic of the jeans before they went into the washer!) The load in the picture below is of some throws, a small pillow and some other laundry that I used Sun on one day! We got the Tropical Breeze liquid laundry detergent, and I put it into the dispenser. After the jeans came out of the washer, I looked at them and smelled them. They were clean! I was quite happy, to say the least! I used it on my nursing uniforms, which I tend to get tube feeding liquid on at times--- it got them clean, too.The sheets that we use to cover the birds with at night came clean, too!

As you can tell from above, I was happy with the results! Why don't you start out the new year by switching to Sun! Instead of using the leading brand, which could cost an average of 22 cents a load,  opt for Sun which costs only 6 to 7 cents per load! Think of the savings you'll have for your summer vacation or for Christmas later on this year!

Tropical Breeze smells like mango, tangy berry, and kiwi, along with white musk and hibiscus to remind one of Hawaii! Between the laundry powder and the liquid detergent, they come in a variety, Clean and Fresh (also available in HE), Fresh Morning Breeze, Mountain Fresh (also available with a bleach alternative), Fresh Lavender, Free and Clear (This is the one that I think that my husband would have picked if I had sent him out with the coupon! He tends to pick out Fragrance Free products, if he's given the choice!), and Plus Oxi (also available in Island Essence). The laundry powder comes in two load sizes, 41 and 88. The liquid comes in 5 sizes, 30, 41, 50, 78, and 125.
