The Bandana Splits CD Review and Giveaway

The Bandana Splits self-titled album, The Bandana Splits, recently came out, and I got the opportunity to review it.  Annie, Dawn, and Lauren formed their band earlier this year (believe it!), and have recorded a album live with an old RCA ribbon  microphone and Mr. Sam (their producer) played the instruments. These ladies have a retro sound to their music, similar to those of the 50's and 60's!  Their influences were The Ronettes, The Andrew Sisters and The Caravelles. (I was born in the 60's and vaguely remember the Andrew Sisters.) Wondering if they could have played at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with youth  dancing the Shag to their music!  I liked how they harmonized together and the beat of their music. Their album is infused with Motown grooves, Brazilian psychedelia,  and a bit of some classic country. The Bandana Splits   I hadn't really listened to any retro bands recently, but I do like their album! I strongly suggest that you check them out! "Sometimes" is stuck in my head at the moment! "Sometimes", Choo Choo", and "Lavez Vous" are 3 of my favorites!
