Rain go away!

Hi!!! If you've watched any weather for the nation lately, you'll see what FL's going to be going through this week! Rain with thunder, no lightning this afternoon, so I am sitting in the car line at son's school to pick him up. Lovely, and I hate driving in rain!!!

Good afternoon! I've decided to eat  lunch while posting! I've got the house to myself and the feathered babies until hubby and son come home from work and school, respectively! I left work early this morning, so that I could at least get a shower and breakfast and clean clothes on before heading to not one, but two doctors' appointments this morning. I really didn't think that it would be cool to wear my scrubs to an appointment after I got sweaty last night----definitely not cool! I was able to get to both appointments on time today, way cool!  I had a few stops on the way home for other errands as you'll see below!

A few days ago, our lovebird Shrek got one of his feet nipped by our senegal Trouble. Shrek's little foot wound kept bleeding a bit one day, and we didn't have any steptic powder around. The foot's ok now, but I didn't want to take any chances again with nothing in the house to stop a bleed from a nail or other, so I stopped at our local pet store to get a container of the powder. And the lady gave me a discount on it!

Stopped by Target, and they happened to have Halloweentown and Halloweentown II on one dvd, son had been wanting it for awhile. I had gone in hoping to buy the blu-ray/dvd combo of the latest Tinker Bell movie, since I had printed out the $10 off coupon from Disney Movie Rewards, but ended up with a rain check. The movie would have been for me, I'm such a Disney Fanatic!!

This afternoon, once son gets home from school, we'll head over to Orlando to go to one of our favorite places, IKEA!!! We're needing a few more storage units for the family room, and possibly the spare bedroom----in attempt to do some more organizing!!! I'm definitely doing fall cleaning and finally purging my stuff of things that I've moved with us throughout the years!
Maybe I'll foursquare or twitter while we're over there this evening! Who knows!

Hoping that my friends Lorie and Bill are doing ok today.... and also my friends Alesha and Doug and Isaac (hoping that the youngun's feeling better!!!)!!

Wednesday and boy, has it been a long week!

Hi! Have you ever had one of those weeks with your child or children when you wondering when it's going to click with them about getting assignments for class done?
We , or should I say, my husband, keep track of son's grades via Edline on the Mac. He didn't turn in two assignments earlier this week, and he ended up with 2 incompletes on homework. When did he think that we weren't going to find out?? We love the boy dearly and completely, but sometimes!!!! :O)
Hubby had a talk with him after he got home from work today and on the way back home from karate, and  hopefully DS listened! He's a smart kid, don't get me wrong!

I'm into my 3rd night straight at work tonight out of my 4 in a row, and it's just been so busy! I love my patients, but sometimes you just can't do everything for everyone!!
And if I had been paying attention last week when I scheduled my podiatrist appointment, I would have realized that I will be running to not one, but two doctor appointments within a 2 hour period on Friday morning!!! Lovely!!! Can I blame Mommy Alzheimer's or just be too busy to think???

Sunday evening!

It's late Sunday night, and I've been up almost 12 hours! Hubby and son let me sleep in this morning (I skipped church this am.). I had been up since 7:30 pm on Friday evening (I worked Friday night), and pretty much ran around doing errands Saturday, like taking son to karate, and going shopping. We went to Outback for dinner, it seems to be one of those restaurants we go to once every few years---not exactly one of our favorites. It happened to be one of the restaurants listed on the gift card that I had bought through Scrips at church. Add staying up all day along with 2 Mai-Tai's and that equals a very sleepy me.
I woke up briefly around 1:30 this morning when my CPAP machine made a strange noise, it kind of freaked me out, and I ended up getting up and reading some e-mails for a bit, then went back to bed around 2 am. I think that when I looked at it later, the hose must have come loose from the machine, and caused the whooshing noise that I had heard.
Spent most of my waking hours today either washing dishes after meals or doing laundry,  both of which I do well at!
I'm working on trying to get my Shaklee home business going, and have finally ordered business cards to it. (Son and hubby had some input on the design!) If you want to check out the site, here's the addy for it :

It's for healthy home, healthy body!!

Also, I have taken down the countdown time for the Twilight movie "Breaking Dawn". I wasn't sure if it was offending anyone or not. I just happen to be a Christian woman who just recently got into the Twilight series, and love it.  Go Team Edward!!!  (My pastor, Pastor Debbie, recently was in Washington, and she mentioned that she drove through Forks---too cool!)
I think that I do have some readers who happen to like Twilight, though---Aurora, are you out there???

Another one of my favorite things lately, well, besides Twilight, is trying to schedule time to get over to the Happiest Place on Earth---WDW. Looks like we'll be there for Food and Wine the weekend of Oct 29 thru 31st, son's going on a church retreat that weekend, so it will be hubby and me!!! Yahooooo! One of out Disney friends, Matt, is going to be down from PA then, and we'll be hanging with him and maybe others!

Ciao for now!

L'Oreal Paris Collagen Micro-Pulse Review

Hi! I'm a Bzz Agent and got the opportunity in the past month to use and review L'Oreal  Collagen Micro-Pulse Eye . Collagen Micro-Pulse Eye delivers visible results:
Immediately, crow's feet and eye bags appear reduced.
In 4 weeks time: crow's feet appear reduced, dark circles appear minimized, and eye bags appear visibly diminished.
Here's a few facts about this new micro-vibrating eye treatment:
1) Opthalmologist and dermatologist tested for safety.
2) features a non-greasy, fragrance free formula.
and 3) has a suggested retail price of $19.99.

OK, I attempted to get pictures before and after, but due to my not being super-computer savvy with downloading pics  I've been unable to get the before ones on the blog. The after pics, unfortunately haven't been taken, due to son's schedule!(something that hubby hasn't shown me how to do yet----though previous pics have appeared on my blog, they were pics that he had already loaded for me and set on my desktop!)

Barb's Opinion...I liked the fact that it was dermatologist tested!  I definitely noticed the little crow's feet appear reduced after the first use and subsequent uses over the following weeks.
My dark circles weren't minimized though, and I'm not sure if continued use of the item would help them! The collagen definitely helped the surrounding skin around my eyes, though.

Disclosure: I was given a sample of the L'Oreal product to review via Bzz Agent from L'Oreal, and the opinion of this product is my own

Nutshell story about my in-laws!

Dear followers,
I'm so sorry that I didn't hold my word and post a few days after the last posting! DS11 started school on August 9th, and it's been crazy here every since with 6th grade homework! Arrrgggghhhh! (Pirate noise thrown in here!!)
Well, when Les and Nancy were here, we did park-hop at WDW on that Monday (August 2nd) between Epcot and Magic Kingdom. We started at Epcot and went through Future World briefly, and went to Canada's Pavilion & saw Marty's 360 video. Nancy proceeded to start having nausea and vomiting after it and throughout  rest of the day, even after we went to MK. Poor sis-in-law! The FL heat seriously got to her. We tried to go on rides and into stores with A/C to cool her down and she ate a few things that day.
2 days later, son and I went with the two of them to Typhoon Lagoon for our 1st water park excursion!
I almost drowned coming off the Crushing Gusher!
